Just asking, I notice they keep it installed, but then claim it's discontinued on startup

    I want to know this as well, hell if i could i'd get rid of most of the "preinstalled" titles/shovelware the 3ds comes with.

    They'll probably push an update. They updated the Wii to remove the broken News channel iirc

    It was only discontinued in the US.
    It's still in good use in the rest of the world. :)

    Don't confuse the Nintendo Zone service (hotspot + over-the-internet Streetpass + [discontinued in north America only] website) with the Nintendo Zone app for viewing said website

    You can continue, at least for now, coming here in Europe with your American console to use the NZ app :)

    Nintendo's websites claim over 28000 Nintendo Zone hotspots exist across the US and Canada. Dubious as that might be now.
