The good news is that patched units are still just as susceptible to Deja Vu as unpatched units. Who knows, maybe someone will port SX OS over through that exploit and its release will be accelerated thanks to these units circulating in the marketplace. Considering that its been fully decrypted, that will make porting it a lot easier actually! There is always hope; stay strong!

give them a day to respond to you. I'm sure they'll want yours for testing.

Yeah, and honestly by the time Atmosphere comes out (2019)they probably have found 2-3 more software exploits. That's just how the hacking scene rolls.

Parts of Deja Vu have not been patched out in 5.X yet which is the main reason it hasn't been released yet because its still the only known working exploit for Mariko Switch units. So in actuality, we're already one step ahead of Nintendo.

Guys, there's still over 17 million unpatched units out there. If you got something like craigslist, you can totally go find a used Switch locally and try to send a payload before you buy. FW doesn't matter, so it's not nearly as hard as getting a hackable PS4.

Is there any way to test to see if you have a patched one? I just got my switch today. I ordered an SX Pro but have not received it yet. Mine came on the 4. 1. 0 firmware. Serial XAW1007XXXXXX

Make a jig and try a payload? I'm hesitant to make a jig, as I really don't want to mess up those pins.

Here is something clever that another user came up with. First, follow the video below for a one-time use jig for testing purposes only. Make sure the tin foil never touches pin 4 under any circumstances.

Then you will follow the steps someone with a patched unit did to verify it was actually patched.
If your output matches the picture, your Switch is patched.

I understand the video pretty well using foil to short pins 9/10 and using an Android device to load a custom payload but I dont understand the tegrarcmsmash with biskeydump steps.

Download this: TegraRcmSmash1213.zip which is TegraRCMSmash and this: biskeydumpv6.zip which is the biskeydump. You don't need to do the command prompt part. The bottom portion of this page has more detailed instructions: http://github.com/rajkosto/TegraRcmSmash

All Japanese serial numbers that are patched start with XAJ40043 so no, you don't seem to be patched but it couldn't hurt to double-check

So mod the pins, boot into RCM, plug switch into windows PC, install the driver, run tegrasmash from the zip, from tegrasmash run biskey dump?

Thank you for your patience and help.

I got my keys to dump and also Hekate to backup my NAND, so I guess that means that I'm good to go? Is there anywhere else I should post my findings?

http://taraftartekstil.com/threads/switch-informations-by-serial-number.481215/ at the very least. After that, you can post your findings anywhere else but that thread is the one most dedicated to this type of information.
