so I finally got the hammer (took em long enough) it was right after I updated to season 5 too!
I went out and got a second switch

    the question is
now correct me if I'm wrong
but the ban the console fingerprint right? not the Nintendo account?
can I use my old account to log back into my eshop and get all my digital purchases back?

    thanks in advance

Yes they usually ban only the console not the account. You could but then you might risk getting your new switch banned.

I don't think you would get banned again. (This is the reason I buy physical!)

Whew, a Switch for $20? Congrats. Yeah, I'd think you should be good logging back in with the same account.

It should also be worth noting that you cannot un-link the account on the console once it is banned without calling Nintendo
